According to the data published by the Home Office, foreign nationals in the UK are three times more likely to be arrested for sexual offences than the British. As we study the presented tables it is important to note that Polish nationals hold one of the lowest arrest rates in the UK.
The first three nationalities with the highest arrest rate in the UK are Albanians, Afghanis and Iraqis.
“Foreigners were 3.5 times as likely to be arrested for sex offences as British suspects, based on a rate of nearly 165 arrests per 100,000 of the migrant population against 48 per 100,000 for Britons,” the Telegraph wrote.
The foreign nationals were arrested at twice the rate of British natives considering all crimes. The data was prepared for 131,000 recorded between January to October 2024.
Foreigners make up 9% of the population and are believed to be responsible for 16.1% of the arrests according to the figures, released under freedom of information (FOI) laws.
“The crime league table places Albanians as the nationality most likely to be arrested, followed by Afghans, Iraqis, Algerians and Somalians,” the Telegraph added.
The arrest ratio for Polish nationals stands at one of the lowest levels recorded in the ranking with 14 per 1,000 people.
