Saturday 30th April – Monday 2nd and Saturday 7th May 2022
10am – 4pm: Exhibition of ORP Blyskawica in East Cowes Town Hall organised by East Cowes Heritage Centre. Open to the public free of charge and includes the exhibition will cover the night of the Blitz (4/5th May 1942) and the parts taken by members of the community who were serving in the Civil Defence.

Wednesday 4th May 2022
7pm
: Blitz talk in East Cowes Town Hall organised by East Cowes Heritage Centre. This will include a film based on interviews with survivors of the night 4/5th May and a presentation of the account of a young Air Raid Precaution messenger boy who carried messages around towns while raids were taking place.

Thursday 5th May 2022
8am- 11am: Arrival of ORP Wodnik to Cowes, Trinity Buoy
2pm: Unveiling of a plaque in King’s Square, East Cowes
2.30pm: Guided Blitz Walk in East Cowes (leaving from King’s Square leading to Kingstone Cemetery)
4pm: Memorial service at Kingston Cemetery
6pm: Welcome reception for officers of Polish Navy, Royal Yacht Squadron (by invitation only)
7.30pm: Piano concert by Eva Maria Doroszkowska at Royal Yacht Squadron (tickets available to public)

Saturday 7th May
All Day (10am-6pm): East Cowes Town Hall Exhibition on Blitz, school art, stalls, refreshments
All day (10am-6pm): Cowes, Northwood Cemetery; Exhibition on the Blitz
1pm-4pm: East Cowes King’s Square: Performances by Ryde Ukuele Group, local schools, Karpaty Dancers, music by DJ, Polish cuisine, Polish shops (free entry)
2pm: Cowes Blitz walk leaving Cowes Parade, arriving at Northwood Cemetery at 3:30pm
4pm: Re-dedication ceremony of monument at communial war grave Northwood Cemetery, Cowes.
7pm: 1940’s Ballroom Dance at East Cowes Town Hall (tickets available to public)
7:30pm – 8pm: Official dinner hosted and funded by FORPD Society for Polish Navy and Royal Navy Officers, diplomats from Polish Embassy in London and other VIP’s (by invitation only)

Sunday 8th May
12pm: Short commemoration ceremony at Francki Place, Cowes
1.30pm: Main anniversary celebrations at Bandstand, Cowes Parade
6pm: ORP Wodnik leaving Cowes Roads
