Enjoy the two-week Shakespeare and Poland Festival (26 June-6 July at Shakespeare’s Globe), celebrating Poland’s particular fascination with Shakespeare’s plays with live theatre, film, illustration, music and a panel discussion with leading Polish and English scholars.
The festival brings Polish and English artists and experts together to celebrate Shakespeare’s place in the Polish imagination. This groundbreaking fortnight includes English premieres, simultaneous performances in London and Warsaw, a visit from the award-winning Song of the Goat Theatre Company and a celebration of the 150th year of the birth of Polish playwright and artist, Stanislaw Wyspianski.
