The Life and Work of the Polish Genius of Science. A talk on Maria Skłodowska-Curie

This talk under the auspices of the Scottish Polish Cultural Association presents the extraordinary Life and Work of Maria Sklodowska-Curie, the Polish Genius of Science who lived and worked in France.

The only double Nobel prize winner in two different disciplines : physics and chemistry.

The scientist who laid the foundations for modern radiology and medical diagnostics. The discoverer of Radium and Polonium. The founder of the Curie Institutes in Paris and in Warsaw, both major research centres. The talk gives an opportunity to perhaps discover something new about Sklodowska-Curie.
