This year’s Chelsea History Festival will bring the past to life through a series of talks, tours and events, both physical and virtual. The immersive programme will reveal history in all its variety, and demonstrate its ongoing resonance and relevance today.
In response to the pandemic, the 2020 festival hosted a varied programme with events both in person and online. This year, the festival will focus on bringing people back to historic Chelsea – the perfect stage to explore, debate and celebrate history. Our online events reached a global audience and this year we will maintain that with a number of online only and hybrid events.

Join historian Laurence Rees as he argues that Hitler and Stalin – two titans of the 20th century – can be viewed as two sides of the same coin.
