Since the 24th of February, almost 2 million people fled to Poland from Ukraine. In the midst of such an unprecedented wave of refugees, Poles are showing an exemplary attitude of solidarity.
It turns out that almost 3 out of 4 Poles have reportedly provided some kind of help to refugees arriving from Ukraine, according to Super Express.
According to the poll conducted by Super Express, the vast majority of Poles are eager to help refugees. According to this survey, 75% of Poles are (or have been) involved in helping refugees from Ukraine.

„It is not only a neighbourly relationship but a fraternal one,” political scientist prof. Kazimierz Kik told the newspaper.
“Such a high percentage [of helpers] is something that, on such a scale, does not happen anywhere else, it is absolutely unique,” he added.
On average, around 120,000 refugees from Ukraine have been entering Polish territory on a daily basis for the last few days.
UN’s High Commissioner for Refugees, Filippo Grandi, described this massive population movement as “the fastest-growing refugee crisis in Europe since World War II”.
