Robert Lewandowski announced his willingness to leave Bayern Munich

For several weeks now, the media have been speculating to know whether Robert Lewandowski was about to remain in Bavaria. The Polish sniper recently answered the rumours by stating that his history with Bayern Munich “is over”.

After all that has happened in recent months, I cannot imagine further, good cooperation. I assume that a transfer will be the best solution for both sides” – Polish number 9 told the press. He also added that he “not wish to comment on the matter until the situation clarifies itself.

When Lewy joined Bayern Munich in the summer of 2014, he was already among the best strikers in the world. Once there, he quickly turned into one of the greats of the game.

His most memorable achievements with the Bavarian giant remain the triumph at the 2020 Champions League and his unforgettable glut scored in only 9 minutes against Wolfsburg in September 2015, when he came off the bench while Wolfsburg was leading 1-0! RL9 won the Bundesliga 7 times with Bayern and finished the best scorer in the competition 5 times.

Last season, he even broke Gerd Müller’s mythical record of 40 goals in one single season, thereby writing yet another page of his sport. In 2020 and 2021, the Pole was close to winning the most prestigious individual football prize, namely the Ballon d’Or.

Robert Lewandowski currently earns 23 million euros annually. He is the highest-paid footballer in Bayern Munich. He is expected – although it is not yet certain – to join FC Barcelona in the following weeks.
