In the midst of the long-awaited transfer of Robert Lewandowski to FB Barcelona, the club’s official TV channel prepared a special video to introduce “RL9” to their support. Unfortunately, the Polish superstar has been depicted in the video’s title as… German.

Barça TV teased its followers with the following title: “An insider’s look at the German striker’s first day in Barça”.
It didn’t take long for hundreds of Polish fans to comment under the video that the message contained, let’s say, an inaccuracy.

According to Sport.pl, the mistake took “some time” to finally be corrected. Barça TV eventually reposted the video with Lewy’s actual nationality.
Besides this colossal blunder, the overall way in which the 34-year-old superstar was presented received some criticism from sports journalists, who drew attention to the fact that the whole undertaking was relatively chaotic.
One thing is sure, Lewy’s transfer to the Blaugranas is the big transfer hit of the summer. Barça fans can’t wait to see him perform for their colours. Lewandowski himself, who turns 34 in August, announced during his official presentation that he is “still hungry”.
You can count on British Poles to keep an attentive eye on La Liga in the upcoming season!
