Talking and Exploring is inviting all of you to the next walk. This time find out about some surprising secrets of the Ealing Common area, some political, some to do with famous people and some downright criminal!
Meet at 1 pm at Ealing Common Station to explore the area around the common and learn about some of its secrets. Maybe you too can share a secret or two about this vast green space?
Those who do not book a ticket via Eventbrite need to be prepared to pay £15 cash on the day. We often need to have a maximum limit for attendees and so might have to turn away those who just turn up!
We will see a church or two, point to a Dutch Colonial Revival style house, look how the common has 'shrunk’ and visit the Polish Underground Movement Study Trust, once a top secret archive of the Polish WW2 resistance movement.
We will talk about writers, poets, musicians, artists, bankers, scientists and politicians connected with the area. You will learn about the Dutch Colonial Revival style house here and the buildings that are no more. We will find out where the locals shop and what the area was like in the past, including the story of a notorious but almost loveable highwayman!
In the tradition of Talking and Exploring, those who wish to, can stay on for a chill, chat and sustenance at a local café after the walk.

Pictures are taken during our walks and the walk may be recorded so please let us know if you do not want to be included.
On our walks, we allow the unexpected to happen so sometimes we may take a bit longer, as each of our events is a unique experience.
As it is a walking tour, please make sure you wear suitable footwear and clothing.You may want to carry a bottle of water and a snack with you on the walk.
If you turn up on the day, you will need to to pay £15 per person.
