CNN listed Poland among its best destinations to visit in 2023

In a recent article, CNN encouraged its readers to give Poland a shot in 2023 when it comes to holiday destinations.

The American giant listed Poland among its best destinations for the freshly started year. One of the main reasons put forward is the well-deserved solidarity, which the Polish economy would definitely make good use of in the current unpredictable context.

Indeed, as CNN’s Julia Buckley points out, “the reason you should visit Poland in 2023 is to show solidarity with a country which has […] shown solidarity to the people of Ukraine.

Sharing a 300-plus-mile border with a country under attack has meant that Poland has taken in more Ukrainian refugees than anywhere else. Add to that plummeting tourist numbers (though they’re on the rise again), and you have a tricky situation” – Buckley explains.

Of course, Poland’s remarkable stance towards its neighbour is far from being the only good reason to pay a visit to Poland. Indeed, the country is a perfect pick for anyone wanting to disconnect from everyday in a welcoming country full of (good) surprises.

Poland’s Baltic Coast is over 500 km long. The country also has several mountain chains: the Tatras, the Carpathians, the Sudetes,… If you like lakes, make sure not to miss the Masuria region, also called the land of the 1000 lakes. Not to mention the Wieliczka salt mine, the Białowieża natural reserve park, the magic Kraków, the romantic Wrocław, the unique Poznań, the remarkable Toruń, the entertaining Gdańsk, and of course the beautiful Warsaw.
