„Zapiekanki” – a Polish takeaway in Reading wins a prestigious award

A small takeaway in Reading Town Centre was awarded a “Certificate of Excellence” for its outstanding customer service by Restaurant Guru, a review and rating-based website.

My Warsaw is located in the Village food hall near the Oracle Shopping Centre and is mainly known for selling authentic Polish food.

The tiny takeaway was set up by Klaudia Kulesza and her partner Rafał back in October 2021. Their idea was to make Polish specialities available to the people of Reading. The couple decided to put the emphasis on Polish street food, which isn’t so much to be found in Polish restaurants.

The owners rejoiced about having been awarded the special prize by Restaurant Guru. “Me and my partner have always been involved in gastronomy. We opened a takeaway to show people Polish street food, which you will not find in a Polish restaurant. Our flagship dish is Zapiekanka – the queen of Polish street food” – Klaudia Kulesza proudly told Get Reading after learning about the good news.

In addition to the classic version known to everyone, we have created several modern variations of this dish. Our main goal is to be always fresh and authentic. We also offer hand-made dumplings and hot dogs. […] In the future, we would like to add more options to our menu” – she added.

My Warsaw has an Instagram page and its menu can be checked here. Additional information about this friendly Polish street food specialist are to be found on its Facebook page.
