The Fiorentina restaurant in Kraków has been awarded Poland’s best at the World Culinary Awards, which are handed out every year based on votes by experts and the public.

Fiorentina specialises in Polish cuisine and offers high-quality beefsteak prepared in the fashion of the city it got its name from. Fish dishes, mushroom soups, and smoked cabbage with buckwheat are all elements that be found on the restaurant’s menu.

As the Polish Press Agency reports, Fiorentina was also awarded the Michelin Guide’s Bib Gourmand award. It was recognised by the Gault Millau guide as well.

Fiorentina operates in a historic tenement house at Grodzka street in the centre of Kraków. Its boss, Robert Koczwara, assures it provides its clients “the best Polish cuisine in Kraków”.

At this year’s awards, Uliassi in Senigallia, Italy was chosen as the best restaurant in Europe. The title of the best restaurant in the world was awarded to Mayta in Miraflores.

Two other restaurants made it to the finals of the competition were Bottiglieria 1881 and Zazie Bistro in Kraków and Buchery & Wine in Warsaw.
The World Culinary Awards has selected restaurants worldwide in regional and thematic categories since 2020.
