For Polish speakers we will be offering two tours in Polish on both Monday 28 August (Bank holiday and Polish Air Force Day).

One session runs from 2.00pm to 3.00pm, and another is ‘after hours’, i.e. 4.30pm to 5.30pm. The latter will include refreshments.

In June 1940 Europe had fallen. The Royal Air Force faced the might of Nazi Germany, outnumbered and out-gunned. The greatest air battle in history was about to be fought over the skies of Britain. Get up close to the actual aircraft that flew in the Battle of Britain and learn how, the Spitfire and Hurricane – and their pilots – flew into legend.

This tour gives you the chance to step behind the barriers and encounter our most iconic collections, the only place in the world which holds four authentic Battle of Britain Fighter aircraft. This tour will be delivered exclusively in Polish and focus on the exploits of the brave airmen from Poland who fought in the battle.

Jest czerwiec 1940 roku, nad Wielką Brytanią gromadzą się czarne chmury. Nazistowskie Niemcy panują w prawie całej Europie, mają przewagę liczebną i lepsze uzbrojenie. Wkrótce rozpocznie się największa bitwa powietrzna w historii, rozegra się ona nad angielskim niebem. Nasze muzeum jest jedynym na świecie, które posiada cztery autentyczne myśliwce z Bitwy o Anglię.

Zapraszamy na specjalne spotkanie z legendarnymi maszynami, które brały udział w Bitwie o Anglię jak Spitfire i Hurricane. Przyjrzymy się nie tylko maszynom, ale porozmawiamy też o mitach, legendach oraz o ludziach stojących za zwycięstwem. To oprowadzanie z przewodnikiem będzie w języku polskim, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem wyczynów naszych wspaniałych pilotów.
