Ognisko Polskie – Polish Hearth Club presents this talk as part of the commemorations for the 80th anniversary of the outbreak of the Second World War.
The little-known story of how three Polish agents: Stanisław Makowski, Krystyna Skarbek (Christine Granville) and Władysław Ważny, working for the Special Operations Executive (SOE – Britain’s wartime secret intelligence and sabotage organisation) played a crucial role in the liberation of France and the reporting of V-weapon sites.
Presented on behalf of The Secret WW2 Learning Network, an educational charity, by author/historians Paul McCue and Clare Mulley.
