Jazz Café POSK: “Interfuse” – John Donegan Trio with Special Guest Steve Waterman

We would like to invite you to the album launch of “Interfuse”! Join the John Donegan Trio with special guest Steve Waterman at Jazz Café POSK for a night of beautiful new music from the fresh album, plus hand-picked favourites from John’s previous recordings.

John Donegan, the UK Based and originally from Cork, is a modern jazz pianist and composer. His music has been featured on the BBC, Jazz FM, RTE Lyric FM, and many independent radio stations across Ireland, UK, USA, Canada, Australia and Europe. He has performed with a wide range of British, Irish and international artists, including, Art Blakey, Art Farmer, Barney Kessel, Greg Abate, Louis Stewart and many more.

John had performed in the UK, Ireland, France, Spain and Portugal and in Birdland in New York. John has written a Suite of contemporary music influenced by his involvement in Jazz and by his native Irish traditional music. These have been released in two albums entitled Siamsa (Irish for entertainment) Volumes1&2.

He has also created jazz arrangements of 6 Chopin pieces, 2 John Field pieces and written his own original Nocturnes and these have been performed at The Chopin Festival in London and other venues in the UK.

Steve Waterman is one of the top British jazz trumpet players both at home and on the international scene. He began his career while studying at Trinity College of Music, and since then has worked regularly on the British, European and International jazz scene. Steve has recorded many critically acclaimed albums under his own name.
