A new flight route between Zielona Góra and London is to be launched

Poland’s smallest airport, Zielona Góra – Babimost, announced that air traffic at this airport has highly increased in recent months. In August alone, nearly 8,000 passengers travelled via the Lubuskie airport.

Due to the travellers’ growing interest, the airport’s authorities in Zielona Góra announced that a connection to London will be permanently included in the flight schedule by the end of the year.

We strongly believe in a better future for our airport in Babimost. […] The crowds of passengers who storm our small airport and eagerly buy tickets show that this effort was not wasted. We do everything to ensure that the airport has an interesting offer” – Marcin Jabłoński, a board member of the Lubuskie Voivodeship, explained in an interview with fly4free.

“We also have plans for the future related to the expansion of the airport’s wings, with increased opportunities in terms of the number of passengers checked in, the comfort of services provided, and the safety of travellers” – he added.

It is not known yet which airline will operate the new connection with London. Bids can be submitted until the end of September. The airport announced that the air connection between Zielona Góra and London is to be operated twice a week.
