THE MAIDS OF WILKO (1979, Poland)

Director: Andrzej Wajda

After the death of a close friend, Wiktor returns to the place of his youth and reunites with the sisters who once defined an idyllic summer, confronting how time, regret and unfulfilled love have changed their lives. Widely regarded as Wajda’s most lyrical and poetic film.
