Arkadiusz Milik played his debut for Juventus

On Saturday, the 27th of August, Arkadiusz Milik played his first game with his new club, Juventus. The Bianconeri could not do better than a draw (1-1) in front of their fans against José Mourinho’s AS Roma.

It’s a shame we did not manage to win the game in the midst of such emotions” – Milik tweeted after the game.

The long-awaited moment was the debut of Polish forward Arkadiusz Milik for the Turin side. The Pole has been loaned by Olympique de Marseille for the 2022–23 season.

Milik (28) continues to write his success story. Although he has inevitably been in Robert Lewandowski’s shadow throughout his career so far when it comes to the Polish national team, “Arek” is nonetheless a top player who seems to get better with age.

After upgrading from the Polish league, where he played for Górnik Zabrze, the Polish striker performed for Bayer Leverkusen, FC Augsburg, Ajax Amsterdam, Napoli, and Olympique de Marseille. His arrival at Juventus means another step forward in his already successful career.

Milik recently passed the symbolic threshold of 200 career goals. As of the 29th of August 2022, he has played 248 official club games and scored 139 goals. With Poland’s national team, he scored 16 goals in 62 appearances.

Polish fans hope that his transfer to Turin, where he plays along with his compatriot Wojciech, will inspire him for the upcoming World Cup in Qatar, where in the group phase, Poland will face Saudi Arabia, but also Mexico, and… Argentina.
