Peter Sikora is an aviation researcher, historian and writer who specialises in the history of the Polish Air Force between 1918 and 1946. His presentation will discuss the connections between Polish Military Aviation and the Royal Air Force and the role and achievements of Polish airmen during the Second World War.
Military historian and display pilot Howard Cook – who has flown and studied numerous historic aircraft including the Hurricane – will give a presentation on how the Hawker Hurricane came to be developed and be in place for its critical role during the Battle of Britain – and what it is like to fly.
