The 2025 Chopin Piano Competition First Prize winner brings thoughtful, powerful artistry to a sweeping programme of poetic Chopin.
Fresh from winning First Prize at the prestigious 19th International Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, Eric Lu brings to the stage a feast of Chopin’s Polonaises, a Ballade, a Nocturne, and the monumental Third Sonata.
His latest triumph cements his reputation as one of the most exciting pianists of his generation. His meteoric rise began in 2018 when at just 20 years old, he claimed First Prize at the Leeds International Piano Competition. He is an exclusive Warner Classics artist whose fourth album, featuring both sets of Schubert’s Impromptus—arrives in January 2026, following a series of widely acclaimed earlier releases. Active as a recitalist, He has appeared at major venues including the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Wigmore Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall London and more.
