What is Fat Thursday about?
It is a traditional Catholic feast marking the last Thursday before Lent, associated with the celebration of Carnival. Among the most popular all-national dishes served on that day are pączki, fist-sized donuts filled with rose marmalade served with lots of powdered sugar (and you know you want them!).
