The Royal British Legion Hay-on-Wye Branch is organising an event to commemorate & celebrate 75 years since the end of World War II and would like to invite all Polish people living around.
The event organiser Kelvyn Jenkins said to the British Poles Portal: “We would love to see Polish people at our commemoration weekend and it’s important that we commemorate and celebrate all country’s that suffered so much in WW2.

FRIDAY 31st JULY
1500 – Concert in aid of Change Step at Cartref Care Home with the Surrey Police Band, Emma Brown & guests.
SATURDAY 1st AUGUST
In aid of the Royal British Legion.
1200 – Parade steps off from main car park through the town, led by massed pipe bands.
1230 – Concert in Memorial Square by the Surrey Police Band.
1300 – Concert from the massed choirs
1330 – Music from soloist Emma Brown, choirs and Band.
1400 – Service of Remembrance.
1630 – Music from 40’s singer Jayne Darling in the Kilverts Inn.
1800 – Tea Dance in the Kilverts Inn Garden with Winston Churchill, Jayne Darling, the Ashby Little Big Band, Steve and Sue mace-fast footing swing Dancers, & the Dolloway Dancers of Hereford.
SUNDAY 2nd AUGUST
1230 – Welsh Guards Pilgrims service of Remembrance at the Commonwealth War Graves Hay Cemetery.
1500 – Concert, “We’ll Meet Again, A Musical Extravaganza” in aid of Fisher House at St Mary’s Church with the Surrey Police Band, featuring international soloist Emma Brown, Winston Churchill & guests.
