Iga Swiątek and Hubert Hurkacz sent team Poland to the United Cup Final Four in Sydney. The Polish duo defeated Italy’s Lorenzo Musetti and Camilla Rosatello 6-1, 6-2 with authority in their mixed doubles match in the Brisbane City Final.

“Hubi” had lost his singles match earlier in the evening but returned to Pat Rafter Arena, the WTA world number 1 Iga Swiątek, who, in turn, had won her singles game.

“It feels amazing, honestly. I don’t know. I think it’s better to win in a team than individually. I’m so happy that we did it together and team effort for sure paid off,” Swiątek told the media following the win.

“Today’s match was pretty stressful because we don’t play mixed doubles usually. But I’m so happy that I was able to play a solid game, and Hubi was pushing our opponents and really making it easy for me” – she added.

On Friday, team Poland will play against the USA. The show will start with Iga Świątek, who will face Jessica Pegula at 3AM.
