The 24th KINOTEKA Polish Film Festival returns to London from 4 February to 29 March 2026, bringing a carefully curated programme of the finest contemporary and classic Polish films, documentaries, and special events to the city’s leading cinemas. Organised by the Polish Cultural Institute in London, KINOTEKA is the perfect opportunity to discover (or rediscover) the very best of Polish cinema. Highlights include the powerful drama „Hunting Flies” (Polowanie na muchy), among many other must-see titles.
An outlier in Wajda’s body of work, this comedy feature focuses on bookshop worker Włodek’s encounter with the strong and independent Irena, whose ambitions to turn him into a successful writer go wildly awry. A fascinating attempt by Wajda at working in a different mode in order to explore the crisis of masculinity, it features a standout performance by Braunek.
