The Christmas tree from Krakow’s Market Square has won first place in the prestigious ranking of the world’s most beautiful urban Christmas trees, prepared by timeout.com. The Polish decoration won over Christmas icons such as the Rockefeller Center in New York tree or the futuristic ornaments from Vilnius.

The Christmas tree from Market Square has won the world’s most beautiful urban Christmas tree in the prestigious timeout.com ranking.

The Christmas tree in Krakow’s Market Square is a true masterpiece of decorative art. It is decorated with 26,000 lights that illuminate the entire square, creating a magical atmosphere.

The decorations reminiscent of the Wawel tapestries and icicles imitating melting ice have been praised for their originality and perfect fit with the atmosphere of the city.

It may come as a surprise that Kraków’s Christmas tree overtook the iconic tree from New York, which has been attracting tourists from all over the world for years.

The tree at Rockefeller Center, decorated with 50,000 lights, won the third place. The second place went to the tree from Gubbio, Italy. The Vilnius Christmas tree received the last place on the podium.
