London has been ranked the best city in the world for 2023 by the consultant group Resonance.

Referred to as the “capital of capitals”, London was praised for its investment potential, its recovery following the epidemiological restrictions, and the return of the night tube, among other things.
The British capital was also complimented for last summer’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations and the period of mourning that followed the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

Resonance’s latest ranking was a little particular this year. It included an “honorary best city in the world” in parallel with the overall rankings. Kyiv was awarded this title.
The Ukrainian capital was described as an “urban beacon of courage and resilience”. Kyiv was praised for its venues, restaurants, culture, and even subway system.
