Poles can rejoice. In the first phase of the competition, the Whites and Reds will be confronted by the Czech Republic, Albania, Moldova, and the Faroe Islands. Our team was selected from the first basket, which theoretically prevented us from being put together with the most challenging teams.

Poland’s only expected rival for the leading position in the group is the Czech Republic. Our southern neighbours managed to reach the quarter-finals of the last Euro, eliminating the Netherlands on the way. When it comes to the other teams, we can say with confidence that beating them should hopefully be a formality.

England was less fortunate. The Three Lions will be confronted by Italy, Ukraine, North Macedonia, and Malta. Scotland’s fate is all the more uncertain as Spain, Norway, Georgia, and Cyprus will be facing them. Wales found itself in a difficult group as well, together with Croatia, Armenia, Turkey, and Latvia. In turn, Northern Ireland will play against Denmark, Finland, Slovenia, Kazakhstan, and San Marino.

The Euro 2024 qualifiers will be held throughout 2023. The best two teams from each of the ten groups will advance directly to the tournament. Play-offs will take place in March 2024. They will be created based on the results of the last edition of the Nations League. There will be three playoff paths, the winners of which will advance to the European Championship.
