According to Komsomolskaja Prawda, a Polish tourist died while defending his fiancé in Armenia. The tourists were climbing the country’s highest mountain Aragac, 4090 m. (13,420 ft), when they were attacked by a bear. The man fell of the mountain while heroically defending his woman by fighting the animal.
Another Polish tourist informed the medical services on Saturday at 14.26 local time about the incident. A helicopter of the Armenian emergency services was dispatched to help the troubled wanderers. Upon arrival, the 33-year-old man from Poland was found dead, after receiving serious head injuries. The information has been confirmed by the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The remaining tourists were transported to safety to nearby Ashtarak city.
