Queen Elizabeth II is under medical supervision at Balmoral

Buckingham Palace informed that the Queen is under medical supervision in her Balmoral residence after doctors became concerned for her health.

Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision,” we read in the official statement, which adds that the Queen “is comfortable”.

The announcement came after the Queen pulled out of a virtual meeting of her Privy Council on Wednesday. PM Liz Truss said the “whole country” is concerned by the news regarding the Queen’s health.

My thoughts – and the thoughts of people across our United Kingdom – are with Her Majesty The Queen and her family at this time,” she added, as quoted by the BBC. Ms Truss has just been appointed Prime Minister by Her Majesty in Balmoral, instead of Buckingham Palace.

My prayers, and the prayers of people across the Church of England and the nation, are with Her Majesty The Queen today” – the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, said in a statement.

According to the BBC, the Duke of York and the Count and Countess of Wessex travelled to Balmoral, as well as Prince Charles and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall.

Queen Elizabeth II recently turned 96. She has been reigning for seven decades and appointed 15 Prime Ministers.
