Robert Lewandowski just can’t stop scoring!

On Sunday afternoon, Robert Lewandowski offered the victory to FC Barcelona in its away match against Alaves. How? He scored a hat-trick in less than half an hour.

Lewandowski never ceases to amaze. On 1 October, the Pole scored a brace in the Champions League against Switzerland’s Young Boys (0-5), and got closer to the prestigious mark of 100 goals in the UCL (96 goals so far). On Sunday, the Varsovian sniper scored three times in less than 30 minutes to offer an easy victory to the Blaugranas.

Many observers believe that Barcelona’s new coach, Hansi Flick, is to be praised for bringing back “Lewangoalski”. Flick was his coach at Bayern Munich in the years 2019-2021, which corresponds to a golden age both for the Polish player and for the Bavarian giant. Another explanation for his great form could be the recent arrival of Wojciech Szczęsny to Catalonia. We can speculate about that. The truth is that probably only he know how he continues to do it again and again.

Who says Lewandowski, says incredible statistics. So let’s get right into it. With 10 goals and 2 assists in only 9 games, the Pole is the most efficient player in La Liga so far by a significant margin. If we take all competitions into account, “Lewy” found the net 12 times in just 11 games. This is all the more remarkable when we take into account that Lewandowski turned 36 a few weeks ago. Insane consistency!

FC Barcelona’s next game will take place at Camp Nou on 20 October against Sevilla. There is no doubt that the Polish goals machine will be excited to bamboozle the Andalusian defence and continue his incredible push his scoring journey to ever-new heights.
