This Monday morning, the Russian ambassador to Warsaw Sergey Andreev was paying respects to the Red Army soldiers who died during WWII.
As he was approaching the Soviet soldiers’ cemetery in the Polish capital, a group of protesters welcomed him with anti-war slogans, insults, and a bucket of red paint, part of which they managed to throw in the ambassador’s face.
The protesters made it impossible for the Russian officials to lay their flowers on the graves of Poland’s “liberators”.
Russian ambassador was doused with fake blood in Warsaw when he visited Soviet Military Cemetery. The Russian state-owned media "RIA Novosti" showed the incident, but muted the sound, as the crowd chanted "fascists, fascists!" to the Russian delegation.pic.twitter.com/AdMqiJv9Ng

Some of them were wearing Ukrainian colours, while some were dressed in white sheets smeared with blood, which were to symbolise the Ukrainian victims of Russia’s brutal war.
Police arrived quickly and helped the ambassador and his delegation to get away.
