This year’s Polish Constitution Day celebrations – one of our biggest annual events – have to take place in a more modest form online. But even with this constraint Oxford University Polish Society will do the best to provide a good dose of cultural immersion!
Oxford University Polish Society will connect with Professor Norman Davies who will tell us all about this crucial date in the history of Poland – from the very story of what happened to wider context of historical and current implications. We plan to give participants the ability to comment and ask questions.
Professor Norman Davies is a recognised historian with special interest in the history of central and eastern Europe. He holds professorship at several European universities (including Jagiellonian University) and is a honorary fellow of St. Antony’s College, Oxford. He is an author of well-acclaimed books including “God’s Playground”, “Heart of Europe” and “Europe: A History”, all covering the subject of Polish and European history.
The talk will be held in English. Event is free of charge and open to all. Join us in celebrating Polish Constitution Day this Sunday, 3rd of May at 7PM UK time!
