Both countries coordinate activities and cooperation for European security and aim at preventing a large-scale military conflict in the midst of the ongoing invasion of Russia on Ukraine.
Before boarding her flight to Warsaw, Liz Truss announced that the UK is about to “strengthen sanctions on the regime of Russian President Vladimir Putin and pressure others to do the same.”
During her stay in Poland, the UK Foreign Secretary visited aid organisations supporting Ukrainian refugees and announced a donation of 10 million pounds to organisations working with people who have experienced sexual violence in Ukraine.
