In a joint statement following this mini-summit, the Prime Ministers of the UK and of the Visegrad countries (or V4) strongly condemn Russia’s aggression on Ukraine.
Boris Johnson (UK), Mateusz Morawiecki (Poland), Viktor Orban (Hungary), Petr Fiala (Czech Republic), and Eduard Heger (Slovakia) referred to Russia’s military offensive as a “brutal, unprovoked and premeditated attack against a sovereign, peaceful, democratic state.”
The statement following the London meeting condemned Russia’s recent actions which “represent an egregious violation of international law and the UN Charter that undermines European security and stability„.

The 5 heads of state emphasised their willingness to offer “full support to the government and people of Ukraine as they stand up for the sovereignty of their country.”
The Prime Ministers also spoke unanimously when it comes to imposing sanctions on Russia as well as regarding the humanitarian crisis provoked by the war. „We stand together in offering support to the growing numbers of refugees, mostly women, children, and the elderly, fleeing the bombardment of civilian areas,” they underlined.

Boris Johson and his V4 partners also exchanged their views on the unfolding of the ongoing war. They agreed on the necessity of establishing a strong common strategy in the field of cybersecurity by „work[ing] together via further policy dialogues and a joint commitment to strengthen our collective cyber resilience, coordinate approaches on cyber governance, and respond to and deter malicious cyber activities, including the spread of disinformation.”
