Warsaw listed 1st among Forbes ‘European Cities Of The Future’ to visit in 2026

The Polish capital, Warsaw, was listed in the first place on Forbes’ “European Cities Of The Future: 10 Places To Visit In 2026” list. The idea behind the list is to promote sites that are not only classic, city break destinations but also those that offer a vision of the future and development, as well as rich cultural life and development.

According to Forbes, the cities listed in the ranking were selected for “travellers seeking cities that offer more than the classic city break of sightseeing and selfies, European Best Destinations analyzed 58 urban destinations across the continent to suggest 10 visionary cities. The European travel experts selected these cities for the way they combine atmosphere, walkability, cultural life, gastronomy, safety and overall ease of experience for visitors.”

Warsaw, listed 1st on the Forbes list was described as: “Poland’s largest city has long had a clear urban strategy and vision of the future that makes it very attractive to visitors. Almost half of Warsaw consists of green areas, its public transportation system is both efficient and environmentally friendly and digital technologies are seamlessly integrated into daily services. Warsaw’s skyline is highlighted by the Varso Tower, designed by Foster + Partners in 2022, the tallest structure in the European Union. Its observation deck, with fabulous views across the city, opened to visitors in September 2025. There’s plenty more to see and do in the Polish capital along the Vistula River and in neighborhoods like Powiśle and Praga, where former industrial spaces now house galleries, cafés and intimate cultural venues. Warsaw is walkable, remarkably safe and refreshingly affordable for a European capital.”

Forbes also named two best hotels to stay in Warsaw as InterContinental Warsaw and H15.

It is yet another example of Poland’s rapid development and cultural attractiveness that draws attention from international media.
