Royal Scottish National Orchestra is organising the next event as a part of part of the RSNO’s Polska Scotland series to celebrate the friendship between the two countries. Join them on Sunday 25 April at 4pm for a free live event that explores the musical, cultural, and historical connections between Scotland and Poland. Sign-up at: https://rsno.org.uk/chatinee/
Join the host, Dávur Juul Magnussen, RSNO Principal Trombone, to explore the rich musical, cultural, and historical connections between Scotland and Poland. To celebrate the friendship between the two countries and the continuation of the Polska Scotland series throughout the RSNO Spring/Summer Digital Season, we will be joined by expert panellists:
• Lady Camilla Panufnik, photographer, author and wife of the noted Polish composer Andrzej Panufnik (1914-1991).
• Michał Mendyk, Polish music journalist, curator and producer, who is music expert at the Adam Mickiewicz Institute, Warsaw.
• Ewen McKay, RSNO Head of Orchestra Management, who acts as the Orchestra’s in-house historian.
The panellists would be delighted to answer any questions you might have for them. Click here to submit your questions before the event takes place.
This event is part of the RSNO’s Polska Scotland series. Polska Scotland is supported by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute as part of the international cultural programme marking the centenary of Poland’s regained independence and by the Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Edinburgh. Financed by the Ministry of Culture, National Heritage and Sport of the Republic of Poland as part of the multi-annual NIEPODLEGŁA programme 2017-2022.
