Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that Polish troops will not participate in a possible stabilisation mission in Ukraine. The news came before the European leaders meeting in Paris.
“Poland is determined to continue cooperation on security jointly with the EU, allies and the United States,” Donald Tusk said.
Poland announced no plans for „Boots on the ground” operation but Polish PM also assured about his country’s full support for Western involvement in Ukraine.
„We have a certain reputation and we must play a positive role,” the Polish PM said.
Donald Tusk also commented on the possible peace talks between Russia and Ukraine under the US
„I don’t know what they would be doing at the negotiating table,” Tusk said.

The Polish PM also presented his strategy in talks with European allies as making sure that they are „really ready to make a serious decision” regarding European defence.
During the Paris talks between France, Britain, Germany, Poland, Italy, Spain and Denmark the Western European powers agreed to be ready for providing military force in possible stabilisation mission in Ukraine.
