London is well-known for its multicultural environment, which can be observed by the fantastic variety of cuisines it offers from all over the world. Asian food, for example, can be found on virtually any corner. But that is not all. Let’s shed light on some of the most popular restaurants established by immigrants from Eastern Europe, shall we?
Polish chef Damian Wawrzyniak called his Twitter followers to action on 9 October. He asked them to advise him on some of the best Eastern European restaurants in the capital.
The results will be announced just before Christmas.

Wawrzyniak started a culinary journey across London in search of the top 10 best restaurants specialising in Eastern European cuisine.
Numerous addresses have already been advised to the renowned chef. Among them, we find Ognisko in South Kensington, a Polish restaurant serving a menu susceptible to be found on the banks of the Vistula. The latter includes delicious gołąbki, barszcz, kopytka, and kołduny.
Another recommended Polish spot is Miód Malina in Acton. This one has gained a reputation for its excellent soups, dumplings, and potato pancakes.
One of the oldest Polish restaurants in London with authentic Polish cuisine is Daquise in South Kensington. Its mouth-watering menu is so tempting!
Other restaurants mentioned by the public include the Hungarian Rosemary in New Cross, the Georgian Little Georgia in Hackley & Islington, the Ukrainian Albina in Plaistow, and the Lithuanian Bernelių Užeiga/Shepherd’s Inn in Beckton & Leytonstone, among others.
As announced in his tweet, Damian Wawrzyniak will be taking “taste, quality of produce, service, and deco” for the top 10 rankings he will publish at the end of his expedition. He added the results would be announced somewhat before Christmas.
