Jetson One, a flying vehicle created by Polish engineer Tomasz Patan became the world’s first commercially available ‘flying vehicle’. An electric flying vehicle or eVTOL (electric Vertical Take-off and Landing) is available in pre-sales alone.
The Jetson One company already sold 500 flying cars, each at US$128,000. Sales of the first units generated $60 million in revenue for the company. Permanent sales of the Jetson One just started.
Maciej Kawecki, an internet creator who filmed Tomasz Patan’s efforts to construct Jetson asked him about his work.
„It’s not my job, it’s my life,” Mr Patan replied.
The Jetson One eVTOL is to be used as a personal aircraft. It is made of aluminium and carbon fibre, powered with eight powerful electric motors.
The Jetson One does not require a pilot’s licence, making it particularly attractive to residents of the United States, where regulations allow the use of such devices without paperwork.
„The price is comparable to the prices of luxury cars. The more common these vehicles are, the cheaper they will be, compared to traditional cars,” says Maciej Kawecki.
