Matthew Tyrmand, political commentator and a son of Polish and American writer and intellectualist Leopold Tyrmand, has been interviewed by Nicholas Richardson from Poland Daily History about Polish-Jewish relations.
Tyrmand recalls his personal stories and how most of his family was sent to a ghetto and afterwards to Majdanek camp, where they were all killed, except of his mother and uncle. Tyrmand says that many countries in Europe embraced the Nazi ideology from Germany, while Poland did not, the resistance in Poland was immense.
