Polish LOT was named the third-best airline in the world

Poland’s national carrier LOT Polish Airlines was awarded a place on this podium of the prestigious AirHelp Score ranking for 2023. The AirHelp Score assesses the best airlines in the world every year.

Last year, LOT Polish Airlines was ranked in the 15th position, which already represented a good achievement. It could be said that LOT climbed one place every month to finish in an impressive third position, behind Qatar Airways and Eurowings.

Punctuality, efficiency in handling compensation claims, and passenger reviews, … These are some of the criteria by which the Polish carrier outshone most of its competitors which include numerous famous airline companies such as KLM (16th), Air France (25th), Lufthansa (57th), and British Airways (82nd) to name but a few.

According to some observers, LOT’s approach consisting of balancing the emphasis on these sectors rather than concentrating most of its efforts on a single one of them could have played a decisive role in such a surprisingly positive outcome.

AirHelp is widely considered the largest passenger rights protection company worldwide. The yearly AirHelp Score ranking is established based on data gathered from 1 January to 31 October. The first edition was published in 2015. This year, it took into account the opinions of over 5,300 passengers.
