“Poles are qualified workers, innovative, and work hard” says Microsoft President

In an interview with Dziennik Gazeta Prawna (DGP) Microsoft resident Brad Smith praised Poland and referred to it as “the place to grow your tech business”.

What drives investments is the opportunity to work with a large group of people who want to innovate and need technology. It is precisely this kind of community that makes Poland an attractive place to invest” – Smith told DGP.

He also emphasised that the AI revolution could be an opportunity for Poland to thrive when it comes to technological innovation. “Basic processes of almost every company will likely change with AI implementations. Poland, known for its strong manufacturing sector, has a great opportunity here. A good example is Mercedes-Benz, which uses artificial intelligence not only for interacting with consumers such as driver-car communication but also for revolutionising processes of painting, maintenance, and design” – he explained.

If you come from the world of technology, this is the place where you can grow your business. Poland is a large country with highly skilled workers. People are innovative and work hard” – he underlined.

Microsoft has maintained a presence in Poland since the early 1990s and has recently made substantial investments in the country. In 2020, the company unveiled a $1 billion investment plan, which included the establishment of its first data centre in the region. This data centre opened in Warsaw last year.
