According to the statement of Poland’s Internal Security Agency (ABW) a German citizen who was detained in the Lubuskie province was engaged in the illegal trade of machines that were later exported to Russia and used in arms production.
According to the reports, the detention took place on 20 November in Lubuskie Province.
The citizen of Germany was charged with brokering and exporting dual-use goods to the Russian Federation at the Gorzow Wielkopolski Regional Prosecutor’s Office, which supervises the investigation.
He pleaded guilty and applied for a voluntary surrender to punishment, according to ABW information.
Thanks to his company the machines were illegally sent to Russian military sites involved in the production of arms, the ABW said.
The activities of the detained violated the Act on Foreign Trade in Goods, Technologies and Services of Strategic Importance for State Security, as well as for the Maintenance of International Peace and Security, the ABW press team reported.
