A wanted Pole residing in the UK was arrested after landing in Poznań

A Pole flying from Great Britain to Poland was arrested just a few minutes after having landed at Poznań airport by the Border Guard. Officers quickly determined that he was wanted on an arrest warrant. On the same day, another wanted Pole was arrested at the Wrocław airport.

On 30 August, Polish Border Guard officers detained a 63-year-old Pole who had just flown to Poland from Great Britain. The man was wanted by the prosecutor’s office on an arrest warrant, and the Polish court was also looking for him.

The reason for the arrest was the search for a man on the basis of an arrest warrant issued by the prosecutor’s office. Due to the fraud committed by the 63-year-old, the court was also looking for him. After the validity of the search was confirmed, the man was transferred to a remand centre,” – the Polish Border Guard wrote in an official statement.

On the same day, the Border Guard detained another Pole, also in Western Poland, this time a 49-year-old, at the Wrocław-Starachowice airport. In the latter case, the officers did not provide information regarding the destination the man was travelling from.
