As part of the recently launched “European Peace Facility”, the 27 EU countries have already sent weapons worth over EUR 1.5 billion to Ukraine since late February.

An EU diplomat recently informed the RMF FM radio that from the EUR 1 billion pool available for all EU countries, Poland submits applications for the largest refinancing of weapons supplies to Ukraine.

According to an EU diplomat discussing with Mrs Szymańska-Borginon, Poland is by far among the countries which sent the largest amount of weapons to Ukraine so far. Warsaw sent weapons to its eastern neighbour such as anti-tank

On the EU level, further tranches of funds are to be made available in the following weeks in order to provide Ukraine with additional lethal weapons (EUR 450 billion) such as anti-aircraft and anti-tank missiles as well as ammunition and non-lethal equipment (EUR 50 million) such as bulletproof vests, tents, and night vision devices among others.
