For the first time, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has officially confirmed the fact that Ukrainian soldiers are attending training sessions on British soil.

These Ukrainian units are being given access to specific military equipment as they prepare to fight back against the Russian forces which are destroying their country. He added that similar exercises are taking place in Poland as well. 

„I can say that we are currently training Ukrainians in Poland in the use of air defence and in [Great Britain] in the use of armoured vehicles” – Boris Johnson told the media during his visit to India.

The fact that there are currently several dozen Ukrainian soldiers in the UK has been confirmed by a spokesman for the British prime minister.

Only last week, a group of twenty Ukrainian soldiers arrived in the UK. They are being trained to handle over one hundred military vehicles which have been handed over to Ukraine by the British government.

In addition to training on Husky, Wolfhound, and Mastiff armoured vehicles, Ukrainians will be taught how to use the Sultan and Samson armoured reconnaissance vehicles as well as the Samaritan ambulance.

“The UK continues to provide crucial defensive military aid to Ukraine. Our £450 million packages will help Ukraine defend itself from Russia’s horrific onslaught. We stand with Ukraine as it fights bravely against Russian aggression” – Boris Johnson tweeted on Wednesday.
