“This is probably the moment every scientist is waiting for” – Prof. Hołda wrote on his social media profile, showing a photo he received from President Andrzej Duda.
“There were more failures than victories on the way to this success – it was hard (sometimes very hard), but it was definitely worth it”, – he wrote in his publication. He also added that this early success represents merely “the beginning of his scientific journey”.
In an interview given to TVN 24, Mateusz Hołda explained that his greatest achievement so far has been the creation of the Heart Embryology and Anatomy Research Team (HEART), which deals with cardiomorphology. “I can say that we are one of the world leaders in this field”, – he admitted.
Interestingly, the talented scientist obtained his doctoral degree at the age of 24, even before graduating. Two years later, Forbes magazine placed him on a prestigious list of young leaders under the age of 30 (“30 under 30”).
Shortly after that, he was also praised by the British think-tank Emerging Europe as “Young Influencer of the Year 2019”.
Authorities of the Jagiellonian University proudly refer to Prof. Hołda is an “absolute record holder” in the world of Polish science.
