The NAC Breda football fan group Fr0nt76 opened a collection of the most important products to help flood victims in Poland. Like in many other actions in the past, the NAC Breda fans underline they aim to express gratitude for the city’s liberation by the Polish Armoured Division of General Maczek in 1944.
The football fans published a statement on their Facebook:
“Unfortunately, people in Poland are now experiencing flooding, which has caused many people damage, injury and loss of life. Many have left their belongings to evacuate to a safer area. We would like to support wherever we can.
*On Saturday 21 September we will walk 18km for the Maczek Liberation March. During the march, we hope to raise funds to make donations to the flood victims.
*Sunday 22-09 we will be ready at the NAC stadium (next to the vak-G cafe) from 09:00 to 11:00 for the collection of useful items. 9C Stadium Street, 4815 NC Breda.”
It is yet another action of Breda fans to support and commemorate the Poles who fought for their city.
Weeks ago Dutch football club NAC Breda paid tribute to the Polish troops who liberated their city from German occupation by featuring the names of the fallen on the team’s new kit.
Unveiled at a press conference last week, the strip has been released to coincide with the 80th anniversary of Breda’s liberation by troops led by General Stanisław Maczek.
The fans also commemorate the Polish struggle in the 2 World War in their tifos.
