The Polish Heritage Flight Team is delighted to share that fundraising for the ‘Duxford to Deblin’ Project has now surpassed 81% of the fundraising target, with £5,413 remaining to reach the overall target.

This flight is symbolic of those who left Poland at the outbreak of the Second World War but were never able to return – either because they gave their lives in the fight for freedom or because the post-war regime meant returning home was no longer possible. As that remarkable generation has now largely passed, our flight will carry their memory and spirit home to Poland.

As fundraising continues, the organisers are now entering the next phase of the project—focusing on flight planning and logistics for the journey. The trip is scheduled for mid-August, aligning with Armed Forces Day in Poland.
